GUNDA provided engineering services to assist the City of Houston by coordinating and providing interim and final signal timings throughout the mitigation zone of SPUR 527 that includes approximately 100 intersections and reversible lane corridor along West Alabama.

Traffic signal timing development activities included optimization of cycle lengths during AM, PM, and off-peak hours, preparation of offset patterns for specific intersections, optimizing phasing and preparing plans specific to each unique occurrence.

GUNDA then installed and fine tuned new timing plans in all of the controllers. The scope of the job also included operating traffic signals for the first three months of the SPUR 527 closure.
