As Traffic Engineering Consultant to the Super Bowl Host Committee and City of Houston Public Works Department, GUNDA provided traffic analysis and design for the Super Bowl and related events. The project scope included determining appropriate traffic control for the game day and related events and celebrations over a two-week time span.

GUNDA worked closely with the host committee, City of Houston, METRO and event planners to determine best traffic controls for handling heavy automotive and pedestrian traffic. Planning considered the needs of passenger automobiles, light rail vehicles, METRO buses, leased buses, taxis, limousines, pedicabs and pedestrian traffic. Traffic Control Plans included several phases to minimize impact to the traffic while maintaining safety for the fans. GUNDA also supported the City of Houston at the Houston Emergency Command Center during the celebrations and game day.
